This duet, a work of art in equilibrium, like a tight rope act in a circus. Dancing on the tight rope, dividing the space in two. T. Monk always said dancing was the easiest way of appreciating music; musicians when playing create new spaces mentally dancing. Tracanna and Martinale are dancing and knowing that they must divide the”tightrope”suspended in the air.

“Sound”.

The results of different factors, researched, developed, the fruit of study and mental instinct, we can even say the timbre, the attack, or sustained note, the mouthpiece, the instrument itself, are all in itself a part of the technique.

“Intensity”. That particular way of phrasing, a choice of silence or rapid riffs, once again, technique…

“Personality”.Strong, far from imitated models. Duetting with Tino Tracanna signifies being wrapped in a single sound, of intensity beyond the common sense, to be confronted with a Personality rich in humanity.

Play in duet is something very special, where ideas flow quickly, without obstacles or angles, where dialogue is direct, and everything else  superfluous is eliminated! The essential melody even though entwined in a rich harmony is the predominant nucleus of the composition of Luigi. And the same values are in his way of improvising. Playing in duet with him becomes a form of challenge within itself, searching for the melody which doesn’t destroy the original writing. This is very much an Italian adventure
